Gajar Halwa - made with Amul Mithai Mate and Amul Ghee
Ingredients:
- 500 grams grated carrots
- 1 cup Amul Ghee
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Amul Mithai Mate
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup chopped cashews
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A few strands of saffron, soaked in 2 tablespoons warm milk
Instructions:
- Heat the Amul Ghee in a thick-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- Add the grated carrots and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the milk and Amul Mithai Mate and cook until the carrots are soft and the milk has evaporated.
- Add the cardamom powder and saffron milk.
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and the ghee separates from the sides of the pan.
- Add the chopped almonds, cashews, and raisins.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the mixture is well combined.
- Serve hot or cold.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, you can use Amul Mithai Mate instead of sugar.
- You can also add a pinch of saffron for a more vibrant color.
